Finally I felt brave enough to apply XP SP2 to my box. The auto updater started to get boring. At least 3 times a day it reminded me that really should run the SP2 update now.

I was a bit scared about SP2, there have been quite a couple of reports, that
this or that might fail. But I did not hear any swearing on our internal mailing
lists during the last few weeks, so my braveness raised ;-)

Ok I run it, and well, it went quite good – no error messages etc. The most
interesting point came: The reboot! Will it come back? Will it die?

Booting ….
Kerio comes up and says xyz has changed. Ok.
Kerio comes
up and says zxy has changed. Ok.
10 or 20 confirmations later my system is
back up again! Hurray!

Plop! BSOD!!!! Bad_Pool_Header stop. CRAP!
Reboot. Works. No BSOD.
Great!
Was just a hickup!
Hibernated. (I do that always with my laptop.
Sometimes I have 3 or 4 weeks without *any* reboot – its a Sony ;-) Wake up –
BSOD – Bad_Pool_Header.
WTF is a Bad_Pool_Header???
Google says its
something with a driver… Cool, I have quite a couple of drivers ….

To be continued ….
