IntraWeb users should be careful when applying Update 3 for Delphi 2007 or C++ Builder 2007

As you might have noticed Update 3 for Delphi and C++ Builder 2007 is available since some time. If you are an IntraWeb / VCL for the Web user, then there is one step to be careful about:

- this article is for Delphi 2007/ C++ 2007 users only

- if you never used IntraWeb or do not own a commercial or free IntraWeb license key, then ignore this article.

- if you are a RAD Studio 2007 user, then ignore this article.

- if you own a commercial IntraWeb license or if you applied for a free IntraWeb update license  (for Delphi/C++ 2007), then please read the hints below.

The latest freely available version of IntraWeb is (as of today, Okt 1st, 2007) is 9.0.16. 9.0.17 has been bundled with RAD Studio 2007 (won’t be available as separate download). 9.0.18 for all users is in the works.

If you own a valid IntraWeb license key (free or commercial), then you should install the latest release from http://www.atozed.com/IntraWeb/Download/Files/Borland.aspx. This version replaces the version that came with Delphi/C++ 2007.

To avoid conflicts of the version that came with Delphi/C++ and the version you can download from our web site above, you should remove IntraWeb/VCL for the Web from Delphi’s installer. If you did not do that before you installed IntraWeb 9.0.16, then Update 3 will restore the default IntraWeb files – and you might end up in version conflicts.

Our installer does not touch CodeGear’s MSI database (the installation database), thus you have to remove IntraWeb manually, to prevent CodeGear’s installer restoring files unexpectedly.
